What we collect
Display name, country and city as text you type (no device GPS), classification, manuscript samples or idea, and an optional dedication. Stored in a local SQLite file on the operator machine.
Data path
The experimental text path stays on-device. If the local model is wired, text is sent to Sultan middleware at 127.0.0.1:8080. Audio production is not part of this agency; if added later it leaves to OpenAI, Google TTS, and ElevenLabs.
Two cloud options that run only on your explicit choice during the journey (updated 5 September 2026): the "hybrid writer" sends the book idea, title, structure, chapter summaries and the last five hundred words written to OpenAI to draft sections, which the in-house model then verifies locally; the "artistic cover" sends a short scene description to OpenAI, never the manuscript. Your email, account data and uploaded files are never sent in either case. The default for both is on-device.
Retention
A job is deleted via DELETE on its record or by emailing support. We do not sell data or use it for ads.
